Retail Pulse Q4 2019

There is currently more than 230,000 m² of new retail area under construction. Largest projects are situated in Bratislava, Prešov and Nitra. The rest of projects are smaller retail parks in various locations across Slovakia.

Prime shopping center supply reached more than 1.27 m² at the end of Q4 2019. Bratislava region accounts for the majority, making up approx. 38%, followed by Košice, Žilina and Nitra region.

Even though the density of modern retail stock in Bratislava achieved the highest level in CEE, two gigantic projects are currently under construction: Stanica Nivy with approx. 70,000 m² and Eurovea Extension with approx. 25,000 m². 

Regions with lower density of retail stock are becoming increasingly attractive for developers especially for development of small scale retail parks.
